If you like the food and love going out with people you love, then you are the person who never miss a picnic.
Did you know that picnic is an event that started in France? Picnic or picnic is a word invented by the French for their indoor food distribution, in the 17th century. The tradition spread to England and other countries. In the 19th century, picnic is a word adopted by the languages in the world.
Picnic is well also in some of the greatest paintings of famous artists. If you are the arts, then try to look-up Déjeuner sur l'herbe (Luncheon on the Grass) by Edouard Manet. This painting was created in 1863 inspired other works of famous masters such as Pablo Picasso, Claude Monet and Paul Cézanne.
Picnic as you are Paris
Any warm sunny day is perfect for picnics. It will be nice for a picnic as you are in Paris and share the language with other that have the same interest.
The basket will not be a little more with the flow of food and beverages, but with the exchange of ideas, experiences and languages.

• turf - Turf
• Lunch - Dinner
• Take a picnic -- for a picnic
• Outdoor - Outdoor
• Dame - Dame
• Please - Please

• A Road - Tablecloth
• A dish - dish
• A fork - fork
• A spoon - Spoon
• A knife - Knife
• A glass vase --

What will be the field day without a nice menu? Here is a list of some common foods.
• Ham - Ham
• The cake - cake
• The foot - foot
• Chocolate - Chocolate
• Wine - Wine (sparkling juice for children)
• Mineral Water - Mineral Water
• The Orangina - an orange soda

The French language learning
As you can see, learning the French language can not go beyond the usual set up in classrooms or use audio CDs or cards. Maybe it's time for learning fun with friends to make a little picnic on the grass. A activity as this breaks the monotony that makes learning a little annoying.
It can be a daunting task to learn a language, but how can you help your brain to absorb new words and phrases to speed up the process. Do not forget to taste the food, but when you go to a picnic.

Rolando Villazon - Gounod · Massenet Arias List Price: $16.98 Sale Price: $4.98 Average Rating: ![]() |
|
Rolando Villazon's follow-up CD to his sensational debut recital of Italian arias is devoted to music by Gounod and Massenet: some as familiar as Faust's, Romeo's and Des Grieux's arias, some as rare as pieces from Gounod's Polyeucte and La Reine de Saba and Massenet's Roma and Le Mage. But almost more important than the interesting repertoire, familiar or otherwise, is Villazon's handling of the music. In Werther's passionate Act II outburst to God about suicide, which is almost never excerpted, Villazon manages, in four minutes, to create a complete character, with all his neuroses, mania, and desperation--and he caps it with a ringing high B natural which is as beautiful as it is heartfelt. He sings both of Des Grieux's arias with feeling and tenderness (aided in "Le reve" by Natalie Dessay!). An aria from La Reine de Saba turns out to bequite a showpiece, with a drop-dead high C at its close. As singing and as interpreting, this CD is a must-have. Villazon's dark-hued, expressive tone is always used in the service of the music, and following his career will be a joy for all lovers of great tenorizing. --Robert Levine |
