Old Springer Spaniel, no signs of senility, but how to avoid that mess around the house?

I, an English Springer Spaniel who is nearly 15 years old and is wonderful for his age - that greets us at the door of the benefits to your ears when you call his name, plays with us and our other two dogs, eating well and has no difficulty in movement.
